Right then it's all go! I've made the (silly for my wallet) choice of doing a few days in Spain to get the bike set up well and give me some dry time hopefully, before the season starts.
Sam Ludgate called me the other day and the dirty Yorkshire-man told me about the Cartagena trip that Hottrax are running on 28th Feb - 2nd March. With some history between us two from an epic battle last year at Anglesey where he took the win from me by 0.066, i can't have him going over there to dial in his new 2010 Triumph ahead of us racing against each other this year in Thundersport!!!
So I twisted my own arm right round the back and gave Karen from Hottrax a call with some card details. I know the value of the Spanish days, having done a few in the last couple of years, 3 days after each other, at the same track, hopefully in the sun, it can really get you up to pace, so I was dissapointed not to be going this year. I'm really can't wait for this now then, it's gonna be interesting to see how cheap i can do it for, as normally i got for a full week and treat it as a bit of a holiday as well!
It's also the prize trip that the top 3 in the Michelin power cup from 2010 were given so it'll be good to be with them as they're all a good bunch!
Big thanks to Ryan @ www.moto-racespares.com who sent me up some bits today to get things together in time for the drop off on the weekend.
Watch this space!!

Nice one John, that'll get you pumped up for the new season mate! We're in Almeria the week before you, pity we can't stretch to a 'double-header' but never mind. Good luck with the bike set-up...Charlesy.
ReplyDeleteHope it all goes well and you get some decent times....Text sent, let me know.
